Skin Cancer and Reconstructive Surgery Center and Appearance Center of Newport Beach are seeking a BE / BC Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon to join our premier multi-specialty group.

Skin Cancer and Reconstructive Surgery Center (SCARS Center) and Appearance Center of Newport Beach offer a unique blend of elective, insurance-based, and combined cases for a well-rounded practice. The position is structured initially as a fellowship with advanced reconstructive and cosmetic surgery techniques taught by Simon Madorsky, MD, our facial plastic surgeon, and Justin Karlin, MD, our oculoplastic surgeon. This fellowship will provide a high level of surgical mentorship and training, and will ideally lead to a permanent position. Continued support and mentoring will be provided after this transition. Academic pursuits such as clinical research and regular interdisciplinary academic conferences are part of the culture and mission of our organization. You will work with a team of gifted Mohs, oculoplastic, and plastic surgeons in a collaborative patient-centric environment. The position is designed to develop a private practice within the organization with support of professional marketing and management staff.

You will have access to:

● Hands-on teaching of cosmetic surgical procedures such as deep plane facelifts, rhinoplasties, and blepharoplasties both on patients and cadaveric dissections

● Laser program with vascular and resurfacing technologies

● Teaching of advanced skin cancer reconstructions such as central forehead flap, SENMI flap, LENI flap, island flaps, and fasciocutaneous flaps

● Oncologic management with sentinel lymph node biopsies and parotidectomies

● Advanced CPT coding support

● Established Plastic Surgery and Dermatology office with a growing patient base

● Complex skin cancer management in a team setting
